Back when I was in college this pretty much regularly made my personal list of the 10 Best Films Ever Made. I'd like to think I've at least matured past the HIGH FIDELITY-type compulsive list-making phase that forms the basis of the male nerd psyche, but goddamn if this film isn't every bit as good as I remember it being.

Watching this movie made me think, ” so that's what would have happened to harry potter if he did have magical powers”

After being sent a copy of the screenplay from the wonderful Richard, Kate and Pearl Bendle yesterday, Jessy ensured that we "sourced" the film and we are about to watch it. It will be my first time! We also have "O Lucky Man!" to watch afterwards... then all that is left to find is 'Britannia Hospital.' I am so ready for some Malcolm McDowell!

"If..." has often been compared to Vigo's "Zero For Conduct". In some ways, yes; in other ways, no due to its instances of violence and brief nudity.

Malcom McDowell was too good looking... And such a wonderful actor.
