Finally checking out this adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis book.

Don't really understand the negative comments. Those either didn't experience the 80s, or just don't get dramas. It's not a bad movie even though it doesn't have explosions every 5 minutes.

Not an enjoyable romp through the 80s...but has standout moments.

Deeply bleak. But the music's ok. And there's a DeLorean. Well, it is the 80's...

My last fav of BEE's books do hoping the film is better... Good cast so far.

I like it, but cutting the plots associated with chapter 10, "The Secrets of Summer," and changing the end of the plot from chapter 11, "The Fifth Wheel," does seriously impact the other stories, and not in a positive way. I do like that they were able to present the film in a follow able chronology, but I wonder if those who hadn't read the book could follow it...

Read the book, so now I'm going to watch the movie (despite all the bad things I have heard).

God the 80s, what were we thinking?

Incredibly dull tale of sex, drugs and low lives in 80s Hollywood. An impressive ensemble cast let down by messy narrative and hateful characters.

I'm replenishing my hate reserve

It has a lot of good actors in it so must good!

2nd Mickey Rourke movie today which is weird.

It was ok. Left too many loose ends and could have been an amazing flick.

Another film based on a work by Bret Easton Ellis. Kim Bassinger, Winona Ryder, Mickey Rourke, Billy Bob Thornton and even Chris Isaak. What a cast! Greed is good. Sex is easy. Youth is forever.
