Re-watching this for the first time in a few years and it still packs quite a punch. The dvd, however, is in serious need of an upgrade. What I would love the most is for Mann to lay down a commentary track; his remarks on this production should be fascinating.

A while back, I was asked by one of my film professors what film it was that made me want to do script work. I couldn't give a straight answer at the time. Now, I can give that answer. It was "The Insider." A powerful story that examines how a human can be tested once they stand for what they feel is right, and how people can be placed as pawns within a dangerous game involving corporations and mass media.
I absolutely love this film.
