I love the book. This is a decent adaptation, but they have to cut so

Forgot to check in. So far this is the best adaptation I have seen. My only complaints are the color of Jane's hair, and Rochester looking more like a 50 year old than 35.

Anna Paquin is wonderful as little Jane.

My one problem with these kind of stories, unpretty girls can't marry happily, they must first become rich on their own or the man must be marred in some way for them to be together.

Bean People don't read stories where everything is perfect. Then how we any of us relate or believe? Also if you read about Charlotte Brontë it seems a lot of this story came from events in her own life. Looking at a picture of her, she is the exact representation of Jane's description.

This goes to show that no matter how many trials you encounter, if you're able to overcome it all then you will, in the end, succeed.

Una splendida Charlotte Gainsbourg in un capolavoro di Zeffirelli. Adoro.

For the record, watching "Jane Eyre (1996)" while waiting for Kekoa was not the best idea... #sleepyhead

Anna Paquin was such an adorable little girl.

It's a beautifully filmed version, but it feels quite rushed. Perhaps that's because I've read the novel so many times.
