This film holds up so much better than I would have ever expected. There was a ton here that I missed as a kid and really appreciated such as the father/son relationship they develop along with it's different levels. The young love plot line is really sweet and although at time non-sensical, it has plenty of moments. The final point in the tournament still gets me psyched up.

I never realized how hard of a cut the ending is, though. Victory... hug... credits, very quickly done. You have to watch part 2 if you want the "HONK!"

Lots of fun, glad i checked it out again.
