Its not a hoax, but its not in development. Its still concept. Meaning there is nothing confirmed, and they have not started filming (or the public / media has not been told so )

I've watched the original about 8 times. One of my favorites. I know there's graphic novel sequel but I've heard nothing about a movie.

There's nothing about a second film on IMDB. I'm so sad.

Can't wait! KICK-ASS was great, but a second one? I can't wait! Chloe Moretz and Hit-Girl better be in it or I won't be happy.

Still waiting on a preview of this one!! It will be a long wait though. I know. It's not even in production yet. All we have thus far is a release date.

Been hoping there would be a sequel. This better not be a hoax.

When Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall was greenlit back in September, it was reported that the film would be Matthew Vaughn's next project after X-Men: First Class hits theaters in June, so hopefully that is still the case despite what Jane Goldman said. Still more to follow. Good news?

You can show Hit Girl in a different light which would be a lot of fun. I think it would be fun to show her, because you know her as this 11-year-old assassin, so I think it would be fun to show her as this twisted young adult, this 16-17-year-old Catwoman-y almost, twisted and dark person.’
