This was a super fun Chinese western.

It is a great film. Jiangwen is one of the best director in China

This one really surprised me. An interesting blend of comedy, drama, and action. Never predictable.

Chow yun fat is hilarious

Saw this at Cinema Village in NY tonight. A little too heavy on dialogue, but I still enjoyed it.

Can't believe it's taken me this long to heck it out.

Seen in the original language. Fantastic movie! Immediately among my favorites. Jiang Wen in a great form is recitative that of a director.
I am a big fan of Chow Yun-fat but in this movie I had eyes only for Jiang Wen. He definitely steals the scene. Excellent also the rest of the cast and good story.
The beauty of the film is based on a clash of dialogue than on action scenes. I hope the dubbing artists have been able to do a good job. Even if I doubt you could well bring in another language puns of this film that also rely a lot on their culture.
I recommend this film. Watch it! And I hope that being now arrived in U.S.A theater, soon to be finally in our Italian cinemas. In Italian or other language not EVER would watch. Why lose a lot. But for those not used to subtitles better than nothing.
