When you Magnolia once again it's inevitable: it brings your mind towards your life or the lifes of others you know and you think, "well, that was like a Magnolia twist or situation". Wonderful movie, with touching characters (great acting) and emotional moments. So easy to feel empathy with one or other...

Bluray rip of this is 16 gigs ^_^ Don't think a movie affected me more as a kid than this one. It's been a long time since I've watched it.

Downloaded and watched a bit of it earlier, definitely watching the whole thing later. One of my faves of all time.

Turned this one while I work for a bit on the script. This is in my top 10 films of all time. Or top 20. It's up there.

This movie is like a Dementor. It sucks every bit of happiness out of you.

This is my favourite film. It grows with you & new lessons are there for the taking after each viewing. Amazing performances from all ("Respect the c*ock & tame the c*nt" is such a classic line well delivered it gave me a new found respect for Tom. All the actors convey emotion so well) & the biblical & Fortean/paranormal themes resonate with my sense of the mysterious, sublime & the madness of the world & human existence. The idea that all things are connected & coincidence is Gods mysterious hand is quite satisfying. There are lots of wonderful details & hidden symbols from the reoccurring numbers to the woman holding the bible quote sign during the game show & the Masonic ring. I love this film so much my ex partner bought me one of the rubber frogs used in its production. Anderson is a genius! These strange things happen all the time!

One of my Paul Thomas Anderson favorites with much of the edxcellent soundtrack provided by Amiee Mann. Tom Cruise's character is pretty excellent with some of the films most memorable lines that I probably shouldn't quote on facebook. P.T. anderson's influences can be subtle or very pronounced, but I see Scorsese's cinematography and Terentino's dialogue styles throughout his earlier films (see long, no cut steadycam shot early in boogie nights at Jack Horner's pool party and compare to goodfellas long, no cut shot of henry and karen hill walking in through the kitchen to supper club).

Tom cruise has never been better. This movie kills me every time.
