A Woody Allen movie about a 42-year old dating a high schooler. Prescient?

I lasted about 30 minutes into this movie and am bailing out. I have enjoyed a grand total of ONE Woody Allen movie. ONE. And yet I keep giving his movies a chance and they're all the same; mumbling comedy, mocking the "intellectuals", and self-deprecation. The formula doesn't change...only the actors and actresses supporting Woody's neurosis. It's a repeated formula and quite frankly, an over-rated one.

Diane: Well, why'd you get a divorce?
Woody: Why? Because my ex-wife left me for another woman.

Woody Allen's humour always gets me. It's shot in New York in black and white. I don't think I could ask for a more beautiful film.

Never seen this one. It's beautiful and funny. Funny how black and white makes such a difference.

Woody Allen and Diane Keaton return for the fifth time along with Meryl Streep and Mariel Hemingway (no wonder the man hasn't aged particularly well) in Manhattan (1979) a black and white film that really, really looks good in Blu-ray. The cinema looks like it is out of table photo book, with some scenes seemingly individually captured.
