Some people are complaining about the opening--I have a feeling these are the same people who couldn't sit through 2001 A Space Odyssey or other films with a lot of silent long-cuts. Just takes some patience. I thought it was beautiful. I will concur with the majority of the people here though, in that I did enjoy the second half more. I especially enjoyed Sutherland's performance.

I had to see what this movie was about because I've had vivid dreams of a planet getting as close to the Earth. Just amazing and overwhelming.

I keep hoping the guy from True Blood bites her.

Better not invite Lars to your wedding, he might bring a planet and a press con scandal

Let's see...hmm...if you're not into experimental movies, don't watch this. very slow paced beginning, i thought i was watching a silent film haha, but as it progressed, it was good. Kirsten Dunst is always a good actress. And there are some beautiful scenes, plus I can relate to some of her character's issues. A bit disappointed, though. 6/10

Trier is not for everyone. Not my taste. 5/10 from me

This may be the worst movie ever. I hate everyone in the movie. And I hate myself for watching it.

Tried watching this but lost interest in first 5 minutes ... too strange for me.

A deeply affecting movie carried by awkward, extremely human characters. Made my heart pound from the first minute to the very last.
