..watching this & kickin back..im struck by the fact that this doc is from the point of view of us fans, and validated by metal greats that span the decades & subgenres..fuuuuuck i so envy Sam, what a JOB!! i dig how it speaks of the musical elements the made up metal, points out the commonality of environmental factors that rear the people who ultimately make this music, and more importantly, acknowledges that FANS are an integral element..yeah. im a dork :D

FANTASTIC documentary! @Vh1Classic has been playing it a lot. Catch it if you like the genere. The same guy did the show Metal Evolution that airs Saturday nights on VH1 Classic. Good stuff!
