Noir classic by Jules Dassin. It's pretty refreshing to have all of that gratuitous violence and cookie-cutter roles stripped away.

Processing the scene without gloves... and oh! You found hair in the rug!!?? Then you wanna pluck some straight from this woman's head without her knowing? This certainly isn't "CSI."

There's a certain creepiness watching a film this old when you think that almost everyone in the film is surely dead by now (since it was made in 1948) with the exception of the small children. This is a well told murder mystery featuring the steps in police work. I think the novelty was this was actually filmed on location in New York City. The artistry in the filming still holds up well.

The Naked City is such a beautiful film.

Need to watch it for a test. At least it's set in New York. <3

A great old movie. This is when peopled acted and the graphics, sound, special effects did not matter.
