Saw one amazing documentary earlier (Being Elmo), and on to another one. Scorsese documents Dylan from his beginings, to his infamous 1966 tour of the UK and subsequent motorcycle accident. 1962 to '66 were, perhaps, the most turbulant and important years in modern music, and Martin Scrosese shows us history as seen through the early career of Bob Dylan. I saw the first part of this documentary when it origionally aired in 2005 on PBS in a hotel in Austin, but had to wait for the DVD to be released to watch the 2nd part. Martin Scorsese uses a combination of footage from D A Pennebaker's ground-braking mid 60s Dylan documentaries, and later interviews with people who were witness to the lives of Bob dylan.
