I remember reading this book when I was younger, and how the concept of being able to remain forever young while a portrait or picture of you does the aging was rather appealing but chilling as well. Not so appealing anymore. The corruption of the self, what happens to Dorian, is beyond unspeakable to me. It is not at all necessary to experience every sensation or pleasure to live a well-lived life

One of my favorite books. I haven't seen this version of the movie though..

Normally not a fan of classic movies, but I do love this one.

Wow, Angela Lansbury got her 2nd Academy Award nomination for this picture, and she was only 19!!!!!!! My favorite role of hers was in (no, not Mame) The Manchurian Candidate.

I didn't realize they re-did this with Colin Firth.

Of course this is England day. What a line up with My Fair Lady at 9.
