Angela Lansbury won't be quite the stone cold 17 year old fox she was in Gaslight, but how could this possibly be anything but wonderful?

Angela Lansbury is wonderful in this.

I remember reading this book when I was younger, and how the concept of being able to remain forever young while a portrait or picture of you does the aging was rather appealing but chilling as well. Not so appealing anymore. The corruption of the self, what happens to Dorian, is beyond unspeakable to me. It is not at all necessary to experience every sensation or pleasure to live a well-lived life

Wow, Angela Lansbury got her 2nd Academy Award nomination for this picture, and she was only 19!!!!!!! My favorite role of hers was in (no, not Mame) The Manchurian Candidate.

Kate M Laurence Harvey was her son in Manchurian Candidate. She certainly has the talent to play such a broad range of roles.

Delly is clueless! That movie, when it first came out, was scary as it was something the general public didn't think could happen! It was during the cold war. Oh, the Manchurian Candidate! The Picture of Dorian Grey is an excellent movie , as well!

Kate M I agree on both counts. (Have to note that the MC is still as scary--and plausible--today.) In DG, pretty horrifying when they reveal the painting...
