Great French film cant get tire if watching it. Innovative in its rise from translator to head of the prison. Should of one for best foreign film

Very disappointed to be honest... did not live up to the gushing of the Rotten Tomatoes critics at all. The dragging plot becomes increasingly complex, yet viewers aren't rewarded mentally, emotionally, or viscerally from the investment they've put into this story and its characters. Instead, Audiard chucks in some barebones symbolic imagery and calls it a day. Don't waste your time on this. 1.5/5 stars.

French gangster movie. Looks good.

If you don't mind subtitles this is one of the best gangster movies made in a long time.

Interesting. Tense and brutal movie about prison and how to make good. Well worth the two hours and a half.

Vicious. One of the best crime movie/playin the game/allegory to come out in recent years. more movement than Limits of Control, so will def find a better audience in America. This movie packs enough punch to keep action fans happy (though it does move through slow periods[i love em]), but where the movie shines is in its intensity. it doesn't mind suspense, which seems an allergen to hollywood these days.
Tahar Rahim is a discovery. Amazing performance.
