It was only available on Netflix instant a few more days so I decided to watch for the 1st time. Loved it! Had all the the creepiness of a zombie horror but was really funny in it's 80's cheesiness.

I am sort of on a 80's zombie kick right now.

Terrific spiritual successor to Romero's zombie legacy, Dan O'Bannon's opus gave us zombies who hunger for delicious, delicious braaaaaaaains. Excellent ensemble cast headed up by Clu Gulager, James Karen and Thom Matthews. Everyone is excellently cast and delivers incredibly genuine performances under the bizarre circumstances. Goes on to a terrificly bleak ending - really, just a masterpiece of 80's splatterpunk. Followed by several increasingly inferior sequels, none of which can match nor diminish the greatness of the original. I defy any zombie fan to dislike the movie - I assert that it can't be done if you love the genre.

Such a cheesy 80s flick. But it's fun!!!

Busy night makes this my 1st horror movie of the evening!
