Sarah Nelson To be honest, the only thing the movie did was to show just how widespread the economic problems were in Flint during Smith's tenure. The only solution I got from this was that the jobs that GM outsourced at that time should've remained in the US. -
Thomas Leavy No doubt, Flint got crushed by GM's decision to pull up it's stakes. It begs the question: to what extent, if any, does a large company owe the community in which it does business? Morally? Ethically? Legally? Moore explores none of this, merely implies it, but spends plenty of time talking about himself and offering no solutions. I think Moore thinks of himself as a modern day Socratic gadfly buzzing about and annoying. However, Socrates spurred dialogue and encouraged logical thinking to lead to logical solutions. Moore just annoys.
