Juvenile. The subject matter was important, but MM attempts the"barge in" interview over and over again knowing that the target of the interview isn't at the place into which he barged. He tries to give the impression that Roger Smith is ducking him, when Smith isn't even in the same state most of the time. Moore's sarcasm offers no solutions to economic problems. His juxtapose the rich people footage with the poor people footage doesn't help anyone, just makes you feel sad for the folks who don't have enough. Surprise, surprise: being rich is better than being poor. Was that notion meant to be inspiring or novel? How did this movie do anything to make better the problem of a depressed local economy?

Sarah Nelson To be honest, the only thing the movie did was to show just how widespread the economic problems were in Flint during Smith's tenure. The only solution I got from this was that the jobs that GM outsourced at that time should've remained in the US.

Thomas Leavy No doubt, Flint got crushed by GM's decision to pull up it's stakes. It begs the question: to what extent, if any, does a large company owe the community in which it does business? Morally? Ethically? Legally? Moore explores none of this, merely implies it, but spends plenty of time talking about himself and offering no solutions. I think Moore thinks of himself as a modern day Socratic gadfly buzzing about and annoying. However, Socrates spurred dialogue and encouraged logical thinking to lead to logical solutions. Moore just annoys.

Michael Moore's movie about the attempt to talk to Roger Smith, the head of GM, after the plant closings in Flint,MI. Sadly it was the beginning of the end for Flint and a large part of Michigan.
