Goddamn, Malcovich is creepier when acting "normal" than Dofoe is as a perverted vampire.

Shadow of the Vampire is a well constructed love letter to both the classic movie it's based on and to the eternal nature of film itself.

Listening to the commentary, I'm not sure Merhige knew he was making a comedy. Either way, one of my all time favorites.
