Jackson Allen Chancey It is! This is the film, that as a teenager, really marked the moment that I began moving into more dangerous, realistic and mature subject matter. The first that led me to appreciate the uglinesses and unhappy endings that Big Hollywood had never really presented to me before. I will always appreciate that about Sid & Nancy!

Tess Roam I think there's a difference between an open discussion between people who love movies (what I think getglue is for) and a ground for attacking strangers with differing viewpoints (what you clearly think this site is for). If you had just talked about what you loved about the film like an adult without acting like a catty, high school teenager, we might have had an interesting discussion and I may have given the film another shot.
However, as you have stated, this film was not made for me (as I was not a punk in the late 70's, friends with Nancy, or traveling within those circles), so I don't see how you can be surprised that I didn't enjoy it. I can still appreciate it objectively as a well-made film. The fact that I had only one personal complaint should reflect that.
Hopefully in the future, you'll actually try having a discussion rather than a debate. As it is, I'm done with this dead-end argument.

Lisa Megni Did you REALLY watch this movie? Because I felt every character in this movie. Maybe you should try one more time with an open mind. The screaming is necessary. To me, this movie never gets old. Excellent writing, producing and directing! Not to mention Gary Oldman and Chloe Webb! Great acting! :)
