Playing hooky today. Painting my toenails and watching this movie. Based on the book by one of my favorite authors, it may be too bilingual for some people say, if you hate reading subtitles. Most of the movie is in Mandarin. I enjoyed it, I'm rather obsessed with Chinese historical fiction, especially women in China.

Needed something nice before bed. Tony Jaa will have to wait until tomorrow.

I found this movie lacking in depth. There is no way to understand what the author intended in the book, except for the friendship subject. It is a chick flick which does not do the novel justice.
