I first saw this in school... quite frankly I think its what made me the hopeless mess I am. I am very supportive of the idea of suicide clinics. I think this movie is a deep view of the current state of the human condition. Its still a great classic.

seriously, as a kid I loved this movie, but now I wonder about all the soy products I eat... is it really PEOPLE

E G Robinson is genius and died 12 days after filming. Maybe on of his best roles. Subtle and tragic the scene where he cries over a stalk of celery and piece of tough beef is heartbreaking. Remembering what was and seeing that future us too much. Brilliant. Must read the novel. One of Heston's best too. Although I have a sift spot for Omega Man and PotA is my all time fav's (not the Burton fiasco)

Ive never seen it before but Ive heard of the plot...so far, so good....

Even tho the secret ingredient of Soylent Green had been spoiled for me long ago, still glad I finally saw it. Just great, classic & shocking anyway.

"Soylent Green is people!" a classic.

My husband's last name is Green, and we've always joked that we would have a child and named him/her "Soylent", and explain to the kid: "You're made out of people!"
