The end of the TCM salute to Kirk Douglas. This film is on my All Time Favorites list! Kirk produced and stars in this film, Stanley Kubrick directs, and a All Star cast too large to name! The Alex North score is superb! The use of instruments from the time period within the orchestrations was a brilliant idea! The screenplay was written by a "black listed" writer who Kirk had the balls to name in the screen credits! Notice that Roman's speak with British accents, and Slaves with American accents. There is so much more to mention! This film is one of the best ever!

Interesting to examine the directing of early Stanley Kubrick.
