My favorite part is when Spock is swimming with the whales and when Scotty goes up to the computer and says, "computer" like he expects it to be like on the Enterprise.

I think that this is the best Star Trek movie that was ever made. I stood in line outside of a theater in Annandale, VA to watch this movie on the opening weekend in November 1986, & I still enjoy watching this movie every time it is on TV. There are great comedic moments in this film that the whole family can enjoy. My kids (who are teenagers) enjoy watching this movie, too.

Denise A. Rudy Owens This movie was released on November 26, 1986 in the United States, which was over the Thanksgiving weekend that year. The lines were long, but it was worth the wait!

Sometimes watching a movie is truly like traveling back in time. The dedication at the beginning of this movie to the space shuttle Challenger certainly brought back memories...

Star Trek IV: The One with the Whales, should be the title of this movie. Cleaning out the DVR, this is the last Star Trek flick on it. Also my favorite.
