Ridiculously complex, I imagine will improve on second viewing, but still staggeringly good.

É meio confuso estando cada momento em um lugar, demorei para entender alguma coisa. Tem vários atores famosos, lembrei de bons filmes de cada um. A indústria petrolífera é mostrada como má, lembrei da Umbrella. E o vídeo do jovem no final me lembrou o garoto em Realengo.

Good Sunday AM viewing

all that talk of george getting arrested made me wanna watch a george flick. for some reason ;) and i love matt damon. yep.

Good ass movie. If u like government movies. Particularly covering oil control in the middle east. This is the movie to watch.

Conspiracy film. Had to watch for Clooney -- he won an Academy Award for this one (Best Supporting Actor).

Also starring Alexander Siddig who stole the show with an Oscar worthy performance 👍👍

One of those films with a true message behind it (and one that can't be viewed with a low IQ; Listen up Rio Grande Valley!)

Kind of a political thriller, but it is worth watching!

Totally forgot that Viola Davis was in it! Fun fact: this movie features 3 of this year's Oscar frontrunners in the acting categories: Davis, Clooney, Plummer.

Finally watching it with the subtitles in the Arabic bits (apologies, I don't know what language is being spoken). Not knowing what language was being spoken before messed me up, lol!

An almost seamless portrayal of systemic evil that unfortunately offers only "greed" as the root cause. While the film accurately depicts the evil that exists, and has always existed, and likely always will, it's a shame that no deeper understanding of evil is presented. In this bleak film all individual attempts to do good are utterly thwarted and ultimately injustice prevails. No explicit solution is offered, though the religiously-motivated suicide attack becomes almost sympathetic, and the implicit yearning for a "good king" (i.e. a virtuous autocrat, i.e. a noble dictator) to sweep in and put the world right manifests through the character of the elder prince targeted in the assassination plot: "If only some benevolent political force could take charge of everything and cure the world of its woes!" Because clearly the problem with slavery is bad masters -- Don't blame me, I voted for Kang!

Second attempt at watching this movie. Let's see if I can make it all the way through it this time...
