Outstanding film about the death of a Marine and what happens from that point until his burial. Kevin Bacon gives a dignified performance as the Marine Officer who escorts Chance Phelps home. I used this film in US History classes (high school), and it really got the students discussing serious issues. I can recommend this film enough!

A Memorial Day tradition in our home to remind us of the ultimate cost of war, one of many lives.

A sincere thank you to the brave men and women serving in the armed forces both here and abroad for protecting our freedom. A special thank you to the military families who remain here and keep the homes running like well oiled machines. My prayers are with all of you for a safe and speedy return home.

This movie makes me sad and proud all at the same time. Perfect for what this holiday stands for.
