Anyways, I'd never heard of this movie until I spotted it at Target. Studio Ghibli did it? I couldn't resist. :) It helps that I remember loving Legend of Earthsea.

First time watching this and the kids are into dragons at the moment, so it's seems like the perfect time.

Dafoe has such a creepy voice for this role. It's perfect.

I think the film would be easier to follow if I was familiar with the source material.

Boy, times have changed for Disney. The hero of this tale (at least as far as I've gotten) seems to have attacked (killed?) his father and taken a magical sword.
