It's 1:00 in the afternoon. You should be cleaning the apartment. Or catching up on homework. Or doing your laundry. But no...because TV Guide told you that The Terminator was on TNT, and dammit! This is one of those movies you just have to watch whenever it comes on. Yeah, it's like that.

Well-paced, well-written, extremely resourceful science fiction action movie from James Cameron. It's funny that this first Terminator was made on a budget of only a few million dollars, and it's infinitely more entertaining than the later sequels, which had budgets topping $100 million. Arguably the first true "James Cameron" movie: themetic elements like the blurring line between man and machine, and stylistic elements like the action sequence that doesn't end when you think it does, make their first appearances here.
