Hurt actually makes Hank Paulson a sympathetic character. One of the most chilling scenes is when Davis [Cynthia Nixon] asks him if they knew how dangerous and bad what they were doing was why they didn't stop, and he says "We were making too much money." We came *this* close to a financial disaster, and THESE bank CEO guys would've all been just fine on their private reserves or living overseas or on their guarded estates. Every time I see a Feel-good ad from a bank, I want to throw a chair.

If you really want to get mad and scared, read the book.

I've seen this a few times and I still find myself gobsmacked at each viewing.
