Watching on Blu—ray disc just received from Amazon

The first of my war movie marathon for today. This is probably one of the best tellings of the days leading up to Pearl Harbor told from both sides.

I can't even imagine the panic and pandemonium that ensued once the attack began. Such a huge tragedy that galvanized the US.

This is such a great film as seen through two perspectives. What a critical crossroads in world history.

Tora Tora Tora is on. It is still by far the best and most accurate portrayal of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Also what is cool for me, my Dad was an 18 year old Seaman on the USS BLUE at Pearl Harbor, 7 Dec 1941. The movie filmed many of the battle scenes at Pearl Harbor. It just so happens my Dad was there. The movie built a replica of the USS ARIZONA that they blew up. In the movie if you see the battleship on fire and the tug boat fighting the fire; the skipper of that boat the Chief boatswains Mate is my Dad.

Love when they don't edit and show this film in it's original form. One of my fav WWII movies

Love seeing the view of WW II from the other perspective.

I'll be watching this weekend. Gordon Prange's book "At Dawn We Slept" is a monster but a really good read. Also it's useful for home invasions weing in at 4lbs for the trade version. :)

One of the greatest war movies ever made.

Watching it on an imported Japanese laserdisc....it's got Japanese subtitles for the English dialogue....but no English subtitles for the Japanese dialogue.

The first time I've ever seen this. In the 42 years it's been in existence. How could I have been so slow.

Japanese cooks talking about the International Date Line. What do we do if we see our enemy across the dateline? How can today's shell's hit yesterday's enemy?

One of the best military movies ever made, if you ask me.

Best Pearl Harbor movie I've seen.

Random, but I love how I can be in the same room as the TV, but not looking at it, and recognize some actors just by their voice. I watch too much television, obviously.

What's crazy is this movie came out the year I was born

Great movie. Haven't seen it in a long time.
