Pretty, pretty movie, pretty people, lovely if repetitive score, no story to speak of. I've always felt it would be better as a more conventional musical, instead of being sung though. I've never been a fan of recititive, even if it set to a nice tune, but it becomes especially tiresome after you've heard the pretty tune 14 times.

Watched this yesterday at New Beverly. The Wright Stuff III :)

I am watching The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Fabulous looking film and an amazing score... but the story... meh.
