I may hate watching sports, but I love sports movies! About to watch UNDEFEATED, which won the Academy Award this year for Best Documentary. This has a Friday Night Lights vibe.

I love football movies & documentaries. A very selfless coach doing great things for children.

Like Hoop Dreams with a hero. The closest thing Hoop Dreams had to a hero was Kevin O'Neill and that's really sad.

Undefeated is a solid sports documentary. Although this film focuses on the poverty stricken area of North Memphis and the people who make up this community, the focus is NOT on racism/racial divide. Rather, it is about the Coach's definition of character and how each of the focused players go about defining the term (including coach himself). This film is worth the price of admission, but I'm not sure it is worthy of an Oscar win.

Cool documentary - hesitant to call it best doc picture. Great coach - very "real life FNL" without to much teen drama. Again - the coach is awesome and a great subject.
