night/movie three in my marathon leading up to Awakening. most sequels are bad and shouldn't have been made, but not this one. it's not AS good as the original but it's definitely worthy of the series. however, there seemed to be a few plot holes.. at the end, Selene said there would be fighting amongst the clans because the lines had been blurred.. but what happened to if Marcus and William die, then all vamps and werewolves die too? so either they were wrong, or something else happened. I could see Selene not dying because she drank Alexander Corvinus' blood but Michael is from Lucian and Selene so who knows.. and I don't get how William can't turn back, but Marcus could. I'm not even going to think about all of it or it won't make any sense.. great movie though

TRIVIA: While filming a scene where Selene and Michael look at each other longingly,director Len Wiseman surprised the cast and crew by playing Bryan Adams' song "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)",at which everyone started laughing.

The little girl that plays young Selene is Lily Mo Sheen,the daughter of Kate Beckinsale and Michael Sheen.

Zita Görög,who plays Amelia,had to have her lines dubbed over because the microphones didn't pick up her voice.

Actress Kate Beckinsale wanted to use movies like "Aliens" and "The Terminator" as the basis for her role as an action heroine,but when they first talked about the movie,director/husband Len Wiseman suggested that she check out Russell Crowe in "L.A. Confidential" instead.

According to actor Tony Curran himself,he stipulated in his contract that he wanted to be able to keep his Vampire fangs in at all times, even when he wasn't filming.

The name Michael Corvin (Scott Speedman) was originally the intended name for the main character in "The Crow: City of Angels",which was changed to the name Ashe Corven.

During the pub sequence,the presenter is reading out news on the television in Hungarian. In the first part (when it is only heard,not seen),the text explicitly refers to cheating discovered during the elections. In 2006 (the year of making) there were general elections in Hungary. The media campaign is already on in February,with the two largest parties accusing each other of criminal activity, lies,all in all they lead a very harsh negative campaign. As the present ruling power is a left-liberal and this movie has dozens of nationalistic connotations,this easter egg may not be incidental.

Kate Beckingsale and Scott Foresman return in this second film of the series in the 1200s AD a fight between two brothers Willam and Marcus sets the tone for the start of the film Marcus brother a werewolf is sent away by Victor.Now in the present Marcus has been awakened from his slumber meanwhile another secret is brewing to find out about Micheal.Now Seleine must continue to fight a war that could have more secrets then she realized as her and Micheal must stop Marcus.This second entry is a continuation from the first film it picks up where Underworld left off it answers a lot of questions about the war and the lines of power good special effects and a good story.

3rd Night in row another Underworld!

I saw this in theateres in 3D not sure how it will hold up. Not as impressive nit still a fan of the series.

I was watching Underworld: Evolution | I LOVE this movie, that end with Selene & Michael is my favorite! :')

Solid sequel. Fun action sequences. Great monster effects. A little too plot heavy in spots.
