Robin Williams plays Chris Nielson, a kind of everyman who dies in a car accident and goes straight to heaven. Overcome with grief, his wife, Annie (Annabella Sciorra), commits suicide and ends up in slightly warmer climes. Undeterred, Nielson embarks on an epic journey to hell (assisted by angelic Cuba Gooding Jr.) to find his despairing wife.
Lush special effects will make this movie resonate in your own dreams.
Actually watched this on Friday night. Really thought provoking. Still contemplating the ideas presented. Deep thoughts and beautiful vibrant images made this a WINNER for me.
today being Mother's Day in Mexico, i find myself sad thinking of my Mother. where do we go after we die? what a wonderful concept. I can't wait to see u again Mama. Happy Mother's Day :(
I have a love/hate relationship w/this movie...visually stunning, beautiful story, and yet, utterly depressing and makes me cry like a woman...oh, wait...I AM a woman...never mind then...
What a great movie. I'd never even heard of it, but found it on Netflix. Beautiful imagery and a good story. A "true love conquers all" type theme. NIce.
Very emotionally moving, excellent movie.Touches on so many relevant elements of reality.Reminds me off dream walking under influence of 1000mcgs. of sublingual b-12."Inception"
