Original title is Das weiße Band. I find films purposely shown in black and white at this time of the century outré. This, however, won Golden Globe's Best Foreign Film in 2009. I had intentions of comparing this with The Secret in Their Eyes (El Secreto de Sus Ojos, Oscars 2009 best foreign film) but I do not know where to start.

Potentially a bad film to watch while feeling sad. Only one way to find out.

Incredible so far. And I don't even know what is happening yet. I do have an idea though.

Super long movie... good so far.

Fell asleep before. NOT THE MOVIE'S FAULT. Let's try this again.

Long movie is long. Let's see if I can watch it in something close to its running time.
