Roger Wayne Eberle liked and reviewed this from Eric Redekop's movies9 monthsa surreal setting, charismatic characters, sumptuous symbolism, iconoclastic (for its day) imagery... just a few of the many reasons I always thrill to watch this epic adventure... oh, did I mention the savory songs that round out this sumptuous faire? I'm always somewhere over the rainbow when it comes to The Wizard of Oz.
R. Librin liked and reviewed this via Glue Suggestions1 dayThis mostly scared the crap out of me when it was on TV every year during my childhood, and then, I didn't even know it wasn't all black and white. Not my favorite then, but like many other movies, I've since watched it hundreds of times with my own children (in color) and have come to appreciate it. Every time I see Judy Garland sing Over the Rainbow, I want to cry. I never got that when I was a kid.
