                Brian Burkart Funny thing, technically it's not a Disney film, the film was made by Miramax when the studio was owned by Disney. Miramax thought it had no commercial prospects and were preparing to dump it on home video. Disney was airing the Wonderful World of Disney on ABC and needed programming. They slapped the Disney name on it and it premiered on the show. The DVD was just reissued and since Disney no longer owns Miramax their name was removed from the packaging. I have too much useless knowledge but I hope you enjoyed this lesson in arcane movie history
