Not a huge fan of films set in ancient China but thought I'd give it a go as Donnie Yen is in it.

Had me intrigued through out the whole movie. Not often you see a movie with mystery and martial arts action. Recommended watch!

Donnie yen stars in Peter Chan’s modern take on an old classic infusing Sherlock Holmes and The One Armed Swordsman but will you be riveted to this Martial arts adventure about a wu (Armed) xia (Hero).

The story starts with us seeing how Liu Jinxi (Donnie Yen) lives his life with his wife Yu (Tang Wei) and their two sons. He lives a simple life as a paper maker in the quiet tranquil surroundings of their village. The peace and tranquility are broken one morning when two bandits threaten to rob the store in which Liu is working. Liu fights the bandits and with what seems to be luck kills both and so becomes the local hero overnight.

One of good movies that actually aired in Indonesia. The movie combines the martial arts and detective elements, made a entertaining movie.

Aside from One-Armed Swordsman and History of Violence, this movie also owes a debt to Boondock Saints. Kaneshiro's character is similar in ways to Willem Dafoe's.

Mmm.. Will disappoint you if u expect too much fr this movie.

Definitely the title made you expect more from this movie but it will leave you disappointed. The ending is a BIG joke. Would u expect the whole cinema burst out laughing at a movie titled 'Wu Xia'?
