David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return in this second entry in the X Files film series. When an FBI agent goes missing and the FBI running out of time Agent Scully asks for Mildred help with the case they also have the help of a known Psychic who is a phediphile the three of them go on a frantic search for the missing agent. But when Scully gets in to deep she decides to go back to the medical feild so Mulder decides to search more and finds stolen body parts that lead to there agent and something far more chilling Frankenstien style transplants.Again Duchovny and Gillian work well off of each other it doesn't have the same ambition as the last film did but it is a good entry nonetheless.

TRIVIA: Director Cameo (Chris Carter): sits on a bench outside Scully's office. He is holding an urn containing the ashes of his dog,Frankie, who died during filming.

The character named Franz Tomczeszyn has the same surname as costume designer Lisa Tomczeszyn.

Cameo (Joseph Patrick Finn): producer of many X-files episodes,is the whispering priest seated next to Father Ybarra during the staff meeting where Scully first mentions using Stem Cell therapy.

When Mulder and Scully first walk back into the FBI offices right before they walk into the bullpen,a female agent walks by that catches Mulder's attention and he watches her walk away. The woman is Vanessa Morley, who throughout the series played the young Samantha Mulder, and is the same Samantha in the photo Mulder has taped to the back of his home office door.

This movie is dedicated to Randy Stone, the casting agent who cast the pilot of "The X-Files", and who found David Duchovny to play Mulder and Gillian Anderson to pl...

TRIVIA: Mulder visits the Nutter feed store. David Nutter directed many episodes of the series.

Production was kept under a tight veil of secrecy in order to keep plot details from leaking to the public prior to its release. "Done One" was the working title during filming, complete with logo. The Directors Guild production list named "Rich Tracers" as the project's attached director,an anagram of Chris Carter, the actual director's name. A fake production company name,"The Crying Box Productions," was used in work orders and information sheets. Fake scripts were produced for actor auditions. On any particular day of filming, only the pages required for that day's scenes were distributed, and were then collected and shredded at the end of the day.

When Mulder tries to call Scully from his cell phone, the display shows two names above hers and one name below. The two names above are Bowman and Gilligan, which can only be references to Rob Bowman (director of the first movie and sever...

Probably the mother of all sci-fi mystery thriller TV shows. Been a fanboy ever since I saw the first episode.

Watched this for the first time tonight. I really liked it. A very visually stunning movie and I enjoyed the character development and interactions. I do hope they make a third film.

Al Kirk I liked it for what it was, but I of course would like to see a summing up of the story started in the first place on the show. (Trying not to put down spoilers. lol)

Brian Dorn I think this movie is an incredible work of art, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it. The imagery, atmosphere, and acting were all amazing. Carter and Spotnitz are quite the team.

Izzy I liked the film. The big problem I had was that it was basically a 2-hour X-Files episode. The story didn't have the grandeur of a film, and the weak domestic ticket sales don't help the chances for a 3rd movie. I do hope they make another film but only if the story is really strong, and honestly, they should use a 3rd movie as a finale to the whole X-Files mythos.

Done watching this. Now I can understand why fans felt gypped. They expected the conspiracy arc, and got a 2 hour MOTW episode instead. Ok, bedtime.

cmq They had amazing cases during the series and this is all they could come up for a movie? I'm a bit dissappointed... but anyway, it's good to see a little more of Mulder and Scully.
