    One of Madonna's most mature and personal albums. ♥ One of my favourites as well! :) It has some truly iconic songs in there - Die Another Day,(my favourite Bond film song) Hollywood (oh, how I love the Hollywood/Like A Virgin medley at the VMAs with Britney & Christina and Missy Eliot...The culmination of the entire performance is the moment Madonna shows up at the top of the wedding cake dressed as a "groom" and you can see her taking the moment in, smiling at the crowd's roar of excitement before she starts to sing.) And I remember when the war in Iraq started and the original American Life video was replaced by the flags version, so they even announced it in the news. And I remember hearing Love Profusion on the radio for the first time, not knowing it's Madonna, but going "that can be only the Queen of Pop herself". And who can forget the Nobody Knows Me performance at the Re-Invention Tour - so simple, elegant, powerful, inspiring.
