    This is an astounding cd. What is interesting about it is that if you have heard an amateur production of it you will feel like you know it all already. But what made me like this one is the feeling like it is the most polished grit you will ever feel. Part of the grit of the record transfers over even on CD. This is the original cast which includes Andrea McCardle who in my opinion is an amazing singer. But she also does have the unfortunate tendency to belt too much. You can hear where she is straining a little too much but that endears rather than detracts from the disc. It is more along the lines of a child trying to do their best to impress those around so that everything will improve rather than trying to be the professional actress and singer that she is.
