    [9/10] Not much was known about what her fourth studio album was since its conception last year. First, she said that it's going to sound like 'Indie-as-defined-be-mainstream', which could've been an interesting turn as she started flirting with it on the I Am... part of her last record, then people said that it would be a party record in the vein of 'Sweet Dreams'. But as it turned out, like an unannounced birth, she did an admirable feat of just going for a decent and adorable straight down RnB/Soul record. It's just too bad that the first two lead singles (Run the World (Girls), Best Thing I Never Had) didn't exemplify what this really is about like 'Love On Top', 'Rather Die Young', 'I Miss You' and '90s New Jack Swing Throwback, 'Party' (featuring a really cool part from Andre 3000). Though most mainstream audiences looking for that 'Sasha Fierce' part of this album would have to wait patiently until 'Countdown' as this album starts with the slow songs then finally the fast ones.
