        The room was dark. Then the Troubador began to stir. A slender girl came to the stage, and strummed the opening on her guitar.
        Bows and flows of Angel hair,
        and ice cream castles in the air,
        feathered canyons everywhere,
        I've looked at love that way...
        And suddenly a shiver passed axross the room. A new talent was rising on the stage. Joni Mitchell was alive in Los Angeles. Another great moment was seen by less than 200 people, live!

        Strange that what Glue considers relevant is the SHM-CD! For me its just a wongerful folk/ish kind of album that spawned 1 major hit & another up-tempo single; but the whole is greater than the some of these parts. You can hear some incredible cadences even on this 1969 album(that's when she wrote the tunes, right.) Enhanced audio quality sounds wonderful but I guess I just have to settle for the old vinyl, which was for me brilliant anyway. Apart from 'Both sides now' & 'Chelsea Morning' you have an album full of exceptional lyrical & musical beauty. She sets the bar pretty high imho, but maybe getting too intense. What I'm trying to say is there is a whole lot more to this album than 'Both Sides Now' & 'Chelsea Morning'. If you like 'Blue' then chances are you will like this album. She certainly wears her heart on her sleeve. 'Songs to aging children come' is possibly the best song on the album?
