The Dance is a live performance by Fleetwood Mac, released on Cassette, CD and VHS in 1997, and later on DVD. It hailed the return of the band's most successful line-up of Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie, John McVie and Stevie Nicks, who had not released an album together since 1987's Tango in the Night. It was the first Fleetwood Mac release to top the US album charts since 1982's Mirage.
Debuting at #1 in the Billboard 200, The Dance became the fifth best-selling live album of all time in the United States, with over 5 million copies sold there.
The concert was recorded for Fleetwood Mac's MTV The Dance special at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California on May 23, 1997, and features the University of Southern California Marching Band who perform on the tracks "Tusk" (having played on the original studio recording) and "Don't Stop".

One of the few live albums I actually like and despite that, probably my favourite Mac album ever. Stevie, Lindsey, John, Mick and Christine, we all know this is the real line up The Mac; after all the troubles the band had encountered previously, this album shows us no matter what happens in the world of Fleetwood Mac and no matter how long after they’ve split that they’re music will always have that magic and will never suffer. Nothing was ever perfect with these guys, after Stevie and Lindsey left everything turned dark, whether it be alcohol or financial related problems it would seem that nothing would ever be the same with the guys but coming together for the last time, standing stronger than ever and recording the most epic line up of songs infused with some new material ensured the band went out with a bang. Anybody who attended this concert should count themselves extremely lucky, I am so jealous.
Probably one of my favorite live albums from any artist. I like the way they have rearranged some of their classic hits, and it's always good to hear them together.
