    My favourite soundtrack of all time. Much like the film the soundtrack hits the perfect note. Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard put an immense amount of hard work into this. I've watched the footage of Hans working through different kinds of broken violin strings to try and create the eery sounds that come out whenever the Joker appears on screen. The track that rolls with the credits, "A Dark Knight" is just pure perfection, ringing of some of Howard's expertise along with Zimmer's deep emotional work from the first score.

    Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard have composed what is one of the best soundtracks today! I listen to it at least once every day, and I hope the next soundtrack is as brilliant! From the haunting Jokers theme (not called that, but that's what it is) to the end credits, to Like a Dog Chasing Cars, to...well the entire thing, it is masterful! My hopes, and my fears, are very high for the next soundtrack.
