    The first time I listened to Blink, I was astonished by their grip of the punk genre, that is to say, I was taken with their three-chord, no talent, no particular image standpoint. I am a punk. I consistently am drawn to the new wave, meaning Blink and their contemporaries, such as Green Day, Sum 41, and Wheatus. They are the modern day equivalent to The Clash, and the Pistols, and the school and spirit of '76; contemporary throwbacks to a time of heightened political militance, and unequivocal idealism. If Kurt Cobain was the father of grunge, Johnny Rotten the heir to punk's throne, and Iggy Pop the godfather of punk itself, then Blink are the modern day continuation. They take no prisoners, they hold their stance; they are Blink 182.
