    Fashion Nugget is one of those albums that hold a special place in my heart, just because of the time in life with which I associate it. I remember being nineteen and driving a friend's classic BMW convertible in the middle of the night, with the top down and stars shining down, while Cake's version of "I Will Survive" repeated perpetually in the CD player. The entire album is a modern classic just because the sound was so unique for its time. Since then, Cake has gone on to make other great albums, but, for me, Fashion Nugget will always reign supreme as their signature sound.
