    You can totally tell that this album was ALL about Carey. I truly think, and some she alluded to in interviews I watched, that she KNEW she messed up with him. She was doing the video for "So What" and she knew that he would hear it and would know that is was about him and that he might be hurt at the was she poked fun at the situation. So, she told them the only way she'd do the video the way they wanted was if he were IN it. Ironically, she stated, as soon as they were in the same room together it was over. They were back together. This is how they reunited when they separated and she wrote this album.
