This was Genesis' 13th studio album released in 1986. This album presents fresh songs, with different arrangements as compared to their classic albums whose musics compositions tend to be 'serious' in terms of instrumentation complexities; nevertheless, this album still possesses/displays the unique Genesis 'aura'. The songs beats are cheerful, playful even though still considered powerful. The album's name was taken from one of the songs, we also have ultimate hits such as the political satire "Land of Confusion", "In Too Deep", great instrumentality "The Brazilian", "Anything She Does" and many others like "Domino". The latter is unique, it has two parts, the first one is slow while the second part is totally hard rock, powerful and also the awesome slow song "Throwing it All Away".

However the big surprise is the pop rock songs. Despite being high chart topping singles, songs such as "Invisible Touch" and "Land of Confusion" are every bit as good as some of the Gabriel era material.

While their are no songs along the calibur of "Supper's Ready" or "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway", 'Invisible Touch' is an excellent Genesis album. Phil Collins is drumming as well as he did in the early days. Tony Banks is still a keyboard whiz, and Michael Rutherford has really developed into a competent axe slinger.
