    This IS the greatest hip hop album ever made. The perfect combination of Chuck D's intelligent, socially conscious verse juxtaposed with Flavor Flav's court jester antics make this immediately infectious, political, and a party starter all at the same time. The Bomb Squad production is densely layered with an aggressive pulse that never lets up. There isn't a single filler track on this album. Public Enemy at its best.

    If there's a more ground-breaking or important album in hip hop, I've yet to hear it. Props to Biggie, Dre, Nas and the others who have given us genius albums - but this is the daddy.

    Chuck D once said "Rap is the black CNN", and 'Nation of Millions' is the album that took his powerful, profound lyrics and tied them firmly to some of the best beats on any hip hop album ever...The hits are all here "Bring The Noise", "Don't Believe The Hype", and the definitive PE track "Rebel Without A Pause", but there is so much more...
    This album showed that hip hop could be much more than boasting, or making people throw their hands up in the air, it made it a legitimate means of political expression.. Musically, it was no less influential, as it sewed the seeds of the rap/rock scene with "She Watch Channel Zero" (made in partnership with Slayer), has been sampled by everyone from The Beastie Boys to Jay-Z and here in 2010, Linkin Park and even 'provided' the beats for Madonna's "Justify My Love" (in an one minute interstitial track!).
    Bottom line - any real fan of hip hop MUST own this record, and anyone getting into rap needs to devote themselves to it like a study guide...

    Wow, what can you say about this one??!! From the photography of Glen E. Friedman, to the Executive Producer, Rick Rubin, Chuck and Flavor Flav are the militants of the "politically charged lyrics and criticism of the American media". (Wiki) Bring the Noise starts off some of the greatest Rap songs of all-time. 'She Watch Channel Zero?!', is one of my favorite tracks off the album. Ending with the Beastie Boys play on words, 'Party for you right to Fight'. The best part of each album or cd is the bottom social comment. This one reads, "Freedom is a road seldom traveled by the multitude".
