    In the world of punk music, few bands are individual and interesting. Most just copy what another punk band has done a million times and don't even bother adding their own flare to it. After the suprising sales of their very typical sounding punk album 'Smash', the Offspring could have followed the same formula for another smash album, they however opted to try something new.
    
    'Ixnay on the Hombre' showed a punk band trying to branch out from their label and play something that could sound like hard rock, and still remain true to it's punk roots. The album is laced with catchy rock / punk songs, and completely non typical ballads.
    
    From the "disclaimer" that opens the disc, you can tell it's the same Offspring, determined to deliever an impressive product to their fans. The tracks on the album are some of the best songs the Offspring have to offer. From the tragic "Mota", to the even more tragic (in a completely different way) "Gone Away", the"typical" punk tune "Cool to Hate",...
